Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR) Subcommittee

Goal: The goal of the DFDR Subcommittee is to ensure that aircraft flight data recording system standards meet airline operational needs and evolving regulatory requirements. In accomplishing this goal, the subcommittee considers issues such as including health monitoring of aircraft systems and components, flight operations quality assurance (FOQA) initiatives, and current and impending regulatory requirements.

Scope: The scope of this project is to maintain recording standards for flight data and voice.

Benefit: This activity ensures that airlines can install standards recording equipment that meets current regulatory requirements.
